Pho­to­par­cours NARRENBÄUME

The pho­to­par­cour of the NARRENBÄUME by Wil­helm W. Reinke is a photo pro­ject that places people in an ori­gin­al re­la­tion­ship to nature. In order to sym­bol­ize the pro­por­tion­al­ity of people's over­power­ing nature, Reinke sym­bol­ic­ally se­lec­ted the tree in its biod­iversity. Fol­low­ing this point of view, the sub­or­din­ate human being is de­pic­ted naked in his purest nature, in his most vul­ner­able man­ner. Hu­mans has cul­tiv­ated nature, long­ing for it for a time but still des­troy­ing it in many re­gions of the earth.

The aim of the ex­hib­i­tion series is to gain at­ten­tion for this am­bi­gu­ity, in which hu­mans ase mak­ing a fool of them­self more and more. The ques­tion of the re­la­tion­ship of human to nature is re­defined in every pic­ture and often turns into fool­ish­ness. Against this back­ground, the pho­tos are in­stalled in both nat­ur­al land­scapes and human-made spaces - fol­low­ing the motif of 16th-cen­tury NARRENBÄUME, when the fools were shaken out of the trees.
